Stenox Notetaker
Meeting notes you can trace back to the conversation.
Capture a call from your Mac, then work with the transcript, decisions, and next steps in one session. Stenox records microphone and system audio without sending a bot into the call.
From a project call to a useful handoff
Bring your agenda and questions. Follow the conversation. After the call, check the source behind a decision, correct who owns a task, and export the notes you want to share.
Included with Stenox V2 →1. Prepare the session
Open Notetaker and choose New session. Add personal notes, preparation questions, and readable reference files. You can start with a blank session or bring in an event from an optional Google Calendar connection.
Check your speech and insights selections before capture. Speech follows the active dictation model; meeting insights have a separate provider choice. Apple Silicon and macOS 15 or later are required.
Session setup guide →2. Capture and correct the conversation
Grant Microphone and Screen & System Audio Recording permissions, then start the session. Tell participants you are recording. Headphones help reduce duplicate microphone and system audio on calls.
Review the conversation and edit words or speaker attribution when needed. Stenox does not read participant names from the call app. Pause stops both audio sources; resume continues the same session. Dictation and meeting capture cannot run at the same time.
Conversation and speaker controls →3. Check decisions and next steps against the source
Review generated takeaways, decisions, tasks, and questions. Source links let you return to the supporting conversation. Keep your personal notes alongside these outcomes and correct important details before sharing.
Add reference material and use Ask Stenox to explore the session. Inspect the cited passages in its answers. AI output can miss context; the transcript and your review remain part of the workflow.
4. Export what you need
Save a speaker-labelled SRT transcript, a timestamped text transcript, refined Markdown notes, or current structured Markdown notes. Transcript and note exports are separate, so choose the version that fits your handoff.
These exports are snapshots, not a full session backup. They do not bundle your original Personal notes field, complete Ask history, or imported reference files. Later edits require a new export.
Export formats and limits →Choose where meeting processing happens
For local processing, choose a local speech model and On-device insights, and prepare the models while online. Optional cloud speech sends audio to the selected provider. Cloud insights, refinement, and Ask can send transcript and included session context to their selected provider.
Starting the trial and activating a license require internet access. Paid licenses refresh every seven days and allow up to 30 days offline from the last successful check.
